“There is a guiding principle in my work, a relationship between interior and exterior.
Whether I’m working with cylinders or cages, I always leave the space open. Open and free, and at the same time protected. I work with metal because I think it’s a living material that requires awareness and doesn’t allow hesitation. It demands rules, but it’s also full of surprises. The surface of metal is hardened by oxidation and bears the marks of time. The curious gaze wanders amid the shapes, aware of always being able to enter and come back out with renewed energy.”
