“I’m not so good with words. Since I was a child drawing helped me to say everything I wasn’t able to explain with words. Also when I make my jewels I’m looking for that line of the pencil; building objects with metal wire or chiseling on a very thin silver sheet.
I often reproduce fragments of reality, focusing on a recognizable element and using it like a metaphor of what I want to communicate.
The aspect I love about jewelry is the essential connection with body, so the relation between the wearer and the piece becomes inevitably very intimate.
The jewel becomes the vehicle to tell what is not possible or not necessary to say.”
